Terms of Service

Upon booking confirmation, an agreement is made between Smilingtours ike and the client according to the terms and conditions bellow.

Booking

Once booking is confirmed from both sides, you will receive a receipt in form of an email, called a Travelers voucher . Travelers voucher stands as proof of services booked to be provided by Smilingtours ike to you the client. Keep voucher printed or electronically on your mobile as proof for  Smilingtours ike personnel upon tour day.

 

Payment clearance

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, without any extra fee for processing the payment.

In Payment Method: Pay On The Spot/Cash, you are subjected to the same rules of cancellation, no matter there is no deposit or payment yet to us. We withhold the right to claim a full refund from you by law, in the case of you non show without prior 2 days written notice to  Smilingtours ike.

Full payment is required in order to confirm the reservation,  Refunds are granted only for selected price policies and only for given time frames depending on the price policy.

For completed Credit-Debit card payments,Traveler voucher is also a Payment receipt.
For Bookings with Payment Method: Pay On The Spot/Cash, Stands for Taveller Voucher and a payment receipt will be handed on the spot with payment clearence.

We accept NO responsibility for incorrect email or inability to deliver email. If your confirmation does not arrive on time or at all, then you must ask us to resend the email confirmation of the tours you have paid for.

We reserve the right to refuse providing services in case of uncleared payment.

It is the responsibility of the passenger to check the accuracy of the dates booked upon receipt of their tour confirmation.

All payments made using the card are processed through the electronic payment platform of “Alpha e-Commerce” of Alpha Bank and uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol encryption with 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a way of coding the information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

 

Insurance

Our buses are fully covered, including any injuries passengers suffer while on board.

We take no responsibility for any injuries while you are taking part in any optional activities that are outside our tour package or during the part of the Tour that you are not onboard on one of our buses. We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money, and public liability before you travel. We accept no responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings at any time during the duration of your tour.

 

Cancellation

Cancellation of your booking must be in writing or by email to “Smilingtours ike”. Our email is info@smilingtours.gr

For Cancellations 2 Days prior to Tour date 100% of ammount will be returned to customer.

No refund can be claimed for cancellations later to 2 days prior to Tour Date or no shows.

You may choose to change your tour departure to another date (subject to availability). Permission to do this up to 24 hours before departure and is entirely at the discretion of Smilingtours ike Management.

If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.

Tours already booked cannot be canceled and re-booked where special offers are made available. This applies to all special offers that may be available.

 

Refunds

Any refund which has been agreed with the management of “Smilingtours ike” will be processed within 7 days.

 

Rates

Rates are generated based on the demand for a given time period and are subject to change without any notice. All price policies are per person, contain no hidden fees and include all local taxes.

 

Changes by us

We reserve the right to change our typical itineraries at any time and at our discretion. As professionals, we will endeavor to avoid this and if this is necessary, we will substitute alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value.

We reserve the right to alter our itinerary in the event of happenings outside the control of “Smilingtours ike”. This includes outbreaks of ‘foot and mouth’ or other contagious diseases, revolution, national or local strikes and/or protests, social disorder, political unrest, or weather conditions.

We reserve the right to cancel tour in case of low participation. A full refund will be returned to you in case of cleared payment with credit/debit card or paypal. In case of chosen pay option (pay on the spot in cash) no refund is necessary as payment is not cleared till tour start.

In case of tour low participation, we will try to offer you alternative provider from one of our partners, in same or different date, at same rate as booked by you, always with your consent.

Traveling

At all time during our tours, you are kindly requested to comply with general ethics and instructions of  Smilingtours ike representative (Guides, drivers, rest personell). In case of complications , our staff reserves the right to end your tour in accordance with law officers.  In such a case we will not be liable for any refund, compensation, or any additional costs incurred by you.

Pick up points

It is your responsibility to meet your tour. Please be at the designated pick up point at least 10 minutes before departure time. Pick-up times are approximate and depend on road traffic. The bus can be late sometimes so please give another 10 minutes later before worry . Then contact us and we will guide you through accordingly.

 

Seats

Seats are allocated on a first come first served basis. If you are not happy with your seat please to talk to our staff on board but bear in mind that your request is subject to many operational factors.

Your obligations and responsibilities

You must inform us in writing of any medical condition that requires attention or medication before your tour commences. We cannot be held responsible for any issues concerning your personal health conditions during our tours.

It is your responsibility to have all necessary visas, passports, permits, and certificates required for your selected itinerary as well as any necessary vaccinations, and to comply with all applicable laws.

You are obliged to respect the right of residents living near the places used or visited by us during your tour, to live free from noise, vandalism, or any other source of annoyance. Especially at night time. Any tour member who contravenes this policy will be reported to the local police.

At all times you must show courtesy and respect to your driver/guide and more importantly the other Tour members. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave the tour at the management’s discretion.

Complaints

In the highly unlikely event, that you may wish to make a formal complaint against “Smilingtours ike”, please inform the Company Driver or Representative at the time. If the matter cannot be resolved immediately or during your trip after the Driver or Representative’s best endeavors to do so, your complaint should be made in writing to”Smilingtours ike” company as soon as is reasonably possible after the holiday, but within 3 days thereof so that your complaint can be investigated. “Smilingtours ike” will not consider any claims after the 3 day period. You will be assured of respect and courtesy whilst your complaint is being dealt with.

Weather Conditions

Under no circumstances can we be held responsible for weather conditions. No ticket can be canceled or amended by you at any time on the basis of weather conditions. We accept no responsibility for weather conditions that may affect the delivery and implementation of our itinerary.

No Smoking Policy

We do not permit smoking in any of our vehicles.

General

The booking conditions detailed herein contain the entire contract between you and “Smilingtours ike”. No representation, term, warranty, or condition can be expressed or implied by reference to any other writing, advertisement, or conversation. This contract may only be varied in writing by a duly authorized officer of “Smilingtours ike”.

This contract and all matters arising out of it are governed by Greek law. We both agree that any dispute, claim, or other matter which arises out of or in connection with this contract or your holiday will be dealt with by the Courts of Greece. Changes to these Booking Conditions will only be valid if agreed by “Smilingtours ike” in writing.
